Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house with a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who my nsfas wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the nsfas application last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of nsfas status their application.
